This is why we BoCo.......

Sometimes, it's because we can't sleep. Other times, it's to wax on odd fixations. Blue balloon poodle hats, cookies and handcuffs come to mind. It's a nightly gathering of sorts. A cyber haven for the overeducated.

Professionally, we run the gamut. Artist, swimmer, performer, teacher, lawyer. We love the performing arts, yet we're not too old to "bang your head". Led Zeppelin does have Wagner influences, do they not?

Our computer skills have increased tenfold. Boards used to mean a 2x4. Now they're a place to vent, express and share. It's called life.

We're not marching in protest. We've gathered for a nobler cause. The man that jumped out of the box in the living room with songs, kisses, and so much in-your-face charisma we just have to follow.

We made new words. Fangirly. Not as rabid as the ggg's. To them, he is ludicrously hot. To BoCo, he is ludicrously talented. The hot is subliminal.

There hasn't been this much female intellect in such a small space before. We share one brain. A veritable think tank. Just think what we could do for cancer. Or AIDS.

But we rock on. We think, therefore we type. And we are proudly....BoCo.

What is Boco?

BoCo is short for Boston Conservatory. It all started off when our founder, 'CountAlmasy' found out that Constantine Maroulis went to the Boston Conservatory. She thought that he was okay, but that his early performances weren't particularly outstanding, and the Boston Conservatory is very tough to get into. She wondered why this was, and made a thread about it on the AI message boards, inviting others to compare Constantine's pre-Idol performances with his Idol performances. After a while, she became a little 'attached,' and the thread became a fan thread. The BoCo's had a lot of fun chatting about everything related to Constantine, analyzing all his performances, being crazy, and 'thudding.'

When Constantine was eliminated from AI in 6th place, they all became upset. Many said they wouldn't watch, and also sent complaints to Fox and the American Idols sponsors. They enjoyed chatting with each other though, and hoped that the thread wouldn't be shut down. Just in case MoPieO, and her daughter, made a new home for them.

The BoCo's also decided that the best way to help support Constantine was to find a way to connect his many fan groups, so that we could present a united front. Having so many voices of support for all of Constantine's endeavors makes a BIG impression.

That's what this is all about.
